FreshBlood | Hubvantage

Hubvantage 2024 is a personalized support program, now in the 3rd edition, for healthcare providers (now more open to innovation) and HealthTech startups, with 9 months activities specifically designed to help 15 startups (previously 10 and 12) move to the next level of healthcare innovation capacity, allowing them to align to the needs of healthcare organization and develop collaborations and implementations.

Hubvantage started in 2022 as a pilot program for a number of selected startup founders in partnership with Freshblood HealthTech, UBB’s HIVE Health Innovation Centre and Activize, with the support of EIT Health Innostars, and is unique among the local initiatives since it accelerates startup network and expertise growth, facilitating the joint pilots and implementations.

Why apply?

Within the program, startup founders will receive:

– thorough needs assessment & identifying the need (identify the bottlenecks of the startups, identify the mentoring needs of the startups, identify the key people needed to connect for each startup)

– personalized one-on-one mentoring with medical, financial, marketing, legal mentors

– the opportunity to be part of an exclusive club of health founders that inspire and support each other

– relevant connections in the healthcare system

– specially designed events with relevant high quality content

– access to opportunities and resources

– national and international exposure through the consortium network

Who should apply?

Startup founders with a minimum 1 year experience

Focus on MedTech or Digital Health

Have a team of at least two people

Have a legal entity

How it works?

1. Apply

Apply before 15 May 2024. Sign up by completing the online application.

2. Selection

Your application will be evaluated. It’s important that you meet the entry criteria.

3. Start the program

If selected you will participate in the program and get all the personalized support you need.

4. End of program

Startups will get the opportunity to talk about lessons learned and decide next steps.

Program implementation

29 Aprilie - 15 May: Applying to the program

Startups apply to the Hubvantage program by completing the online application.

15 May - 19 May: Startups application evaluation

The Hubvanatge team will analyze each startup that registered in the program according to the selection criteria, and will select and announce the 15 startups that will join the 2024 program.

3 - 7 June: Needs assessment

The selected startups will start the needs assessment process leading to identifying the bottlenecks and the immediate need to be addressed.

10 June - 20 December: One-on-one mentoring sessions

Throughout the program, startups will have access to experienced mentors both from Romania and from the EIT Health Mentoring and Coaching Network, who will guide them in achieving the set goals and to relevant key people. Startups will have 3/4 one-on-one mentoring sessions & 2/3 key people meetings.

Throughout the program startups founders will be able to connect, inspire and support each other.

20 December: End of program

Before the end of the program founders will get the opportunity to talk about lessons learned and decide next steps.
